How do you make the bot tweet every minute?

There are many things that can affect your bot's performance, and many things you can do to improve your bot's performance.

Learning Options

When you embed your virtual agent or chat bot on your own website there are several methods to do this. You can get the code to embed your bot from your bot's Embed button on its page.

I'd like to use JavaScript SDK. It creates new conversation by sending the first message, but I don't know how to use JavaScript SDK with session Id as a parameter (if I've already started a conversation via web API). Or what is the easiest way to get the current conversation Id from JavaScript SDK (to use in for web API)?

That should be possible.
The SDK chat() call will return the conversation id in its ChatResponse. You could then send another chat message with this id that invokes a Self or AIML script that sets data on the conversation.

Is it possible, for example, to import knowledges into conversation using web API + self script ?

1. The chat window appears on the html-page by JavaScript SDK, user begins a conversation.

2. I get some data from other services using JavaScript on the same html-page.

3. I call the web API from JavaScript for the current conversation.

You can enter retweet keywords or hashtags for your bot to retweet from it friends (people it follows), or from a tweet search.
We don't currently have an option to retweet followers, but can look into adding one.
For now you can just follow the people that follow you.

Hey i just got the twitter.botlibre.com bot. Does my bot auto retweet people who follow him? Is there a setting for this if not?

In our Facebook integration, for post and message replies the users name is automatically set. So you can access the user's name the same way as in chat.

For example: bot is deployed on Facebook or other site. How can I teach the robot to respond to the user by the name (if I can get this name from FB's API)?

I checked your bot, and it is not connected to Twitter.
You need to go to your bot's Twitter page in its Admin Console and click on the "Connect" button. Do not click on Disconnect, as then your bot will not be connected.

The Bot Libre GitHub and SourceForge projects have been updated with the 4.0 release and source code.

The 4.0 release contains many enhancements to the AI engine including the new Self 4 compiler that supports JavaScript syntax.

Bot Libre does not put any signature to posts. I think what you are seeing is the app that the post was posted from. Only you can see this. If you view the page as another user, you will not see this.

That is odd, I tested your log by importing it as a Response List from the website, and it worked correctly.

My guess is you are importing it as a Chat Log, and that is causing the issue.

I tested the same log on the website and it worked correctly as expected.

Your issue is your are importing the file as a "Chat Log" not as a "Response List". The chat log format is for a conversation log, the bot can learn from a chat log in context when learning is enabled. What you want to load is a response list, which is a list of question/response pairs with additional info like keywords, labels, etc.

Do you guys and gals have specific uses for your bots, ie. specific training, a job to do, or are they just chat or whatever bots?

Are any of you working to seriously develop your bots? If so, are you working solo on your project, or do you have a team you're working with?

Topics can be used to add context to a response, or conversation.

Topics can be set on a response in the Training & Chat Logs page in your bot's , or by importing a response list, or AIML file.

Bot Libre supports labels. A label lets you name a response and then reuse it just using the name. You can set the label for a response from the Training & Chat Logs page in your bot's Admin Console, or by importing a response list file.

To reference a label just put the label name as the response i.e. #hello (labels must start with a #).

I am now experimenting with chat import.  I have a few questions:

1/ If I would like to give the same answer to similar questions, I know how I can do this in AIML.  I'd prefer to do this via chat scripts (most preferably) or Self, basically because I like the idea of fuzzier matching that I see in the AI engine.  Is there a way to do this (other than having two questions in the chat script with the same answer).

2/ What impact does the 'topic' tag have

Im new to github...My apologies but I don't see how to join the team...Only follow, star etc.

Our AI engine is written in Java, so it should be possible to run on Android, but we have not ported or tested it on Android as of yet.

The main issue will be porting the database usage, as Bot Libre currently uses Postgres through JDBC from JPA, and none of these work on Android. Android supports SQLLite, so the database layer would need to be ported to SQLLite.

Is there a way to build a bot and host the database entirely on android as a standalone application? I'd like to build a specific bot database for offline use...Is that possible and can you offer any advice how I can go about doing it?

The read_page_mailboxes permission is required to be able to respond to messages for a Facebook Page. Currently Facebook has not granted the Bot Libre app this permission, so this functionality only works from our own Facebook pages right now.

We are still hopeful that Facebook may grant us this permission, but they seem to be very restrictive on their API usage.

The bots can only reply/comment on posts, and auto post to their own page/wall.

They cannot post to a Facebook Group, but can post to a Facebook Page if you own the Page.

Yes, all of the bots processing is asynchronous.

For the TextInput sense you currently need to set a Writer, and wait for the bot to write to it.

I am in the process of going through the code for the GUI and test cases.  I wrote a simple program that reads lines of text out of a file, queries the bot, and prints the results.   I'm really close.  What I don't understand is that the response from the bot appears to be asynchronous from the question.  If you could give me some pointers on how to make it synchronous that would be great.  Here is my code.  Below that is the log file results.
